Welcome to our Catholic Parish of Mt Barker/Strathalbyn in South Australia!

Whether you are visiting our area,  or have lived here for many years, may I extend a warm welcome to the Parish,  and encourage you to come and join us. Our web site provides an initial  introduction to the activities of the Parish, but I hope we can also welcome  you to the many church activities. It is through sharing with others that we  are able to discover and enjoy friendship and support and to develop our own  faith, our relationship with the God of life and love.

Our  Parish is in South Australia with a unique Hills and Country location situated next to the capital city of Adelaide, and covering  an area of approximately 2,000 sq. kms. It encompasses the towns of Mt Barker,   Strathalbyn, Macclesfield, Meadows, Brukunga, Dawesley, Echunga, Hahndorf, Harrogate,  Kanmantoo, Littlehampton, Nairne,  Wistow, Milang, Langhorne Creek and other towns in the region.  There are about 4,000 Catholics in our Parish, or approximately 800 families.
