The Footsteps Carers Group is an important and valuable group of caring and supportive volunteers who give generously of their time providing short term help and assistance to families in  time of need.


This group is organised by a co-ordinator who manages volunteers to do the various tasks required. The meals or services provided by the volunteers are donated to the families in need.  All volunteers must have a police clearance and all information received is and will be kept in the strictest confidence.

The Footsteps Carers Group provides short term assistance with a range of activities including:
  • Meals
  • Visiting/Companionship
  • Transport to Mass or Appointments
  • Laundry
  • Minor House Cleaning
  • Basic Shopping
  • Minor Gardening or Maintenance

You can register to be a volunteer or you can request assistance for yourself or someone else you know by completing the form given in the Contact Us page on this website. If you want more specific information then contact the Co-ordinator listed in the Parish Directory on this website.
